Packaging in the pharmaceutical industry

The packaging of medicines is a very complicated and regulated process in the packaging industry. The legislator places high demands on packaging for food and medicines. Safety and hygiene standards must be adhered to, and the packaging material must not release any potentially harmful substances into the product contained.

Recyclates are currently out of the question as primary packaging for food and pharmaceuticals anyway:
"The risk that impurities are contained in the recyclate is far too great."

Therefore, great hopes are placed on blisters made of monomaterials. The conventional blisters have many disadvantages, therefore probably have no future and will, with great hope, be replaced by the sustainable alternative made of monomaterials.
The use of PP film, which reflects the technical packaging properties of the conventional option, underlines the aspects of sustainability and is therefore the ideal solution for the circular economy in the long term.
